Privacy Policy

Short version

  • ✓ Your trade data (CSV files, OHLCV, P&L) never leaves your browser. We don't upload, store, or process it on any server.
  • ✓ We collect anonymous pageview analytics only if you accept the cookie banner. You can reject and use Klyne fully.
  • ✓ We don't sell, share, or transfer your data to third parties beyond the analytics processors listed below.

1. What we collect

Klyne is a pure-frontend web application. The trade data and OHLCV CSV files you upload are processed entirely in your browser — nothing is transmitted to our servers because there is no server-side processing layer.

What we do collect, only if you accept analytics cookies:

  • Page URL, page title, and referrer
  • Approximate country (derived from IP, then IP discarded)
  • Browser type, OS, screen resolution
  • Anonymous session identifier (Google Analytics _ga cookie)

We do not collect: your name, email, IP address (anonymized), trade data, account balances, or any personal identifiers.

2. Cookies

On first visit you see a cookie consent banner. Until you click Accept, no cookies are set and Google Analytics operates in cookieless aggregate mode (GDPR-compliant).

If you accept:

  • _ga — Google Analytics session identifier (2 years)
  • _ga_PVHKR3RQYN — Property-specific session state (2 years)
  • klyne-cookie-consent — Records your accept/reject choice in localStorage (no expiry)

3. Third-party data processors

We use the following services that may process limited non-personal data on our behalf:

Both processors may transfer data to the United States. Such transfers are covered by EU-US Data Privacy Framework agreements both companies are certified under.

4. Data retention

  • Vercel Analytics: 30 days
  • Google Analytics 4: 2 months (GA4 default for new properties)
  • localStorage on your device: until you clear it

5. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Because we don't collect personally identifying data, most traditional data-subject requests don't apply. You can, however:

  • Withdraw consent by clearing your browser localStorage (the banner reappears on next visit)
  • Block all cookies via your browser's privacy settings
  • Opt out of Google Analytics via Google's opt-out browser add-on
  • Request information about analytics data attributable to you by contacting us at the email below

6. Children

Klyne is designed for adult traders and is not directed at children under 16. We don't knowingly collect data from minors.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves (adding payment features, accounts, etc. will require expansion). Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top.
